Made in Japan in the 1940s, there are either 108 or 144 pearl head pins in each
satisfying little cardboard box .
The pins are 2.5" long and the pearl heads are made of glass with a coating on top.
Although all the boxes have a label on that says 144 pins, some of the boxes

have

108 pins, 36 of each light pink, dark pink and green.
And others have
144 pins, 36 of each light pink, dark pink, green and white.
These were used for corsages, or as hat pins, but could be used for sewing, flower arranging,  journaling or wherever else you need a colourful pin.
The odd pin has a bit of rust and some of the green ones have faded.
